PM Modi Highlights Shift from Production Punishment to Incentives
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared highlights from his address at the Economic Times World Leaders Forum 2026, focusing on India’s shift towards encouraging production and entrepreneurship.
In a series of posts on X, PM Modi said India has moved from a system where companies were penalised for exceeding production limits to one that incentivises production and supports entrepreneurs.
He said the earlier Licence Raj approach discouraged enterprise, production and job creation, while the current approach focuses on enabling businesses, encouraging ambition and building trust among entrepreneurs.
