PM Modi Chairs 53rd PRAGATI Meeting, Reviews Infrastructure Projects

New Delhi, August 25, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 53rd PRAGATI meeting at Seva Teerth, reviewing six major infrastructure projects across the railway, road and power sectors.

The projects, spread across nine states, have a combined investment of more than ₹30,000 crore. The review focused on timely completion, coordination between agencies and resolving issues that could delay project implementation.

PM Modi stressed that infrastructure projects should be viewed as an integrated whole rather than as separate sections or packages. He called for an end-to-end approach to project execution and a proactive work culture among ministries and state governments.

The Prime Minister also emphasised that speed must go hand in hand with quality, urging implementing agencies to adopt modern technologies and strengthen quality assurance and supervision.

During the review of AgriStack under the Digital Agriculture Mission, PM Modi called for greater use of digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to make better use of agricultural data. He stressed the need to use the data ecosystem across the agricultural value chain to support informed decision-making and improve outcomes for farmers.

The meeting also reviewed issues related to cyber fraud and ‘digital arrest’. PM Modi called for sustained public awareness, cyber-safety education and training, particularly for senior citizens, youth and other vulnerable groups. He also stressed the need for regular capacity-building of personnel to respond quickly to emerging cyber fraud methods.

The Prime Minister further called for continuous reforms throughout the project implementation process and stronger coordination between the Centre and states to ensure timely delivery of infrastructure and public services.
