PM Modi Interacts with Space Startup Leaders
New Delhi, August 21, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with CEOs and founders of 20 Indian space startups at Seva Teerth, discussing the growth and future of India’s private space sector.
The startup leaders highlighted the rapid development of India’s space industry and growing global interest in adopting technologies developed by Indian companies. They also appreciated the government’s decision to open the space sector to private participation, saying it has created new opportunities for the industry.
PM Modi congratulated the entrepreneurs and encouraged them to explore wider applications of space technology to improve people’s lives. He also called for greater collaboration between space companies and sectors such as agriculture and environmental protection.
The Prime Minister said India’s space sector has the potential to attract global talent, companies and investment, and urged the creation of an ecosystem that positions India as a global hub for space technology.
He also suggested closer collaboration between space startups and Atal Tinkering Labs to encourage curiosity and interest in space among young students.
The interaction included representatives from startups such as Skyroot Aerospace, Agnikul Cosmos, Pixxel, Dhruva Space, GalaxEye, Digantara, Bellatrix Aerospace and others.
