DC Reviews Water and Sanitation Projects in Kamrup

Amingaon, August 31, 2026: Kamrup District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra chaired a review meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission on Monday to assess the progress of water supply and sanitation projects across the district.

The meeting focused on addressing bottlenecks affecting Piped Water Supply Schemes (PWSS), restoring non-functional water units and accelerating targets under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

DC Mishra directed Public Health Engineering (PHE) officials and concerned departments to identify areas requiring immediate field intervention. He stressed the importance of stronger coordination among departments to prevent delays in project implementation.

The meeting was attended by Kamrup Zila Parishad CEO Siddhartha Goswami, ADC (PHE) Monika Borgohain, senior PHE officials, Block Development Officers and representatives of other concerned departments.
