PM Modi Condoles Passing of A. Balakrishnan

New Delhi, August 27, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the passing of Shri A. Balakrishnan, former All India President of Vivekananda Kendra.

PM Modi recalled Balakrishnan’s more than five decades of service to society and his dedication to the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and nation-building.

The Prime Minister highlighted Balakrishnan’s deep association with the Northeast, where he contributed to educational, social and nation-building activities.

In a post on X, PM Modi expressed his condolences to the Vivekananda Kendra family and Balakrishnan’s admirers, and paid tribute to his lifelong service.

“Om Shanti,” the Prime Minister said.
